Lithium-Ion batteries have become part of our lives . They power everything we now take for granted, from our mobile phones to e-scooters, and even our cars.

 But the flammable electrolyte fluid inside the seemingly harmless batteries mean they can become a real hazard if damaged, faulty or over-charged. Lithium-ion battery fires can occur, and spread, frighteningly quickly and the gases and smoke they produce are highly toxic.
