A dedicated Lithium-Ion Battery fire extinguisher; the powder released when activated interferes with the chemical chain reaction in the battery fire that creates flammable gases. Activation occurs when the heat inside the cabinet melts the coating on two wires, causing them to touch, thus creating a short circuit. When triggered, the powder is forced around the cabinet by the pressurised aerosol, traveling through the perforations in each of the shelves. This is a standalone unit. No external power source is required.
